Descrete the cement of choice: The Illawarra Flame House including the Descrete engineered thermal mass feature wall, has been chosen by the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences as an exhibitor at the Powerhouse Museum.

Presented by the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences in collaboration with Engineers Australia, Sydney Division, this exhibition acknowledge the very best in the field with five award-winning projects from the annual Sydney Engineering Excellence Awards.

The Illawarra Flame House team won the President’s Award and received a High Commendation in the Environment and Heritage category.

All awards have been peer reviewed by a panel of judges established by Engineers Australia, Sydney Division. The panel comprises practitioners and academics from the engineering community.

The projects demonstrate state-of-the-art thinking in the profession, drawn from knowledge in mathematics, science, art, technology and design.

The exhibition is on display from 12 February 2015 – 10 January 2016.
